Pastel Pencil Girl

I was at a mini con this weekend with artists from the Danish gallery Tegnebordet.dk, and attended a small workshop held by in how to draw with pastel pencils on velour paper.

Derwent even had been friendly enough to sponsor a bunch of pastels for her to give out to people.

I was positively surprised over how much easier it is to do portraits like this compared to normal lead pencil portraits. this is done on grey paper, and the white can be made on top of black. Hair is suddenly a lot easier to make detailed.
