This is a really cute setup with two charming characters. It's hard for me to see what the child is sitting on, but I'm guessing that will help once you add some colour.
One thing I think you should be careful with is the characters arms. Almost all four arms looks a little more bendy than what is physically possible. The bones within your arms are more or less very straight, with the elbow and wrist being almost like mechanical joints. Only the elbow and wrist bends. Not the rest of the arm around these two. If you use a ruler, you should be able to draw a line from shoulder to elbow and from elbow to wrist. Think of those lines as your inner bones.
Also, I think you could add some really tiny wings to the girl without covering up the mother completely. That could be really cute.
