Laila - OC Pageant - Round 3 - Storytime

Naturally, most the younger guests arrived at the very last moment, hair flowing in the wind as they swooped down in their fanciest coven outfits. Without helmets, Laila noted, concluding flying safely and avoiding bugs in your face apparently was less important than looking good.

The party went really well. No fighting, and very little drama. Which is quite impressive with a bunch of very drunk witches all gathered in one place.
Laila awoke the next morning by the sound of her daughter laughing. She realised she'd been sleeping on the living room couch. Fully dressed and still with all her makeup. To her dismay, she soon learned, that the source of Siri's amusement was several big trees outside the house now draped in toilet paper.

With less than an hour to spare of the privacy spell, and way too little room for coffee in her favourite mug, Layla grabbed her broom and... Looked at the empty shelf where her motorcycle helmet, spare helmet and Siri's helmet should have been. They were gone.
On the plus side, it meant some of the younger witches had had wit enough to realise they shouldn't fly drunk without at least wearing helmets. Laila was, however, not impressed.

And that is how Laila ended up collecting trash while wearing ski goggles (and a bike helmet).

Round 3 entry for . For this round, contestants were to follow a chance game based on their birthday (or creation time), which would result in a silly line:  
We then were to create a story ending in that line with max 300 words.

The earliest sketches I could find of Laila dates back to June 24th 2012. Her line is; and that is how Laila ended up collecting trash while wearing ski goggles. Not quite as funny as the line my other OC Kat got, but I think I made it work in the end.

Her coffee mug says "World's best mom". She got it from her daughter at a point where Siri was trying to charm her into letting her do something a little girl should not be allowed to do. Needless to say, Siri can be quite a handful. Making Laila take even greater pride in her beloved mug.
