Update:
Comic done, and the sheet has been updated with the changes that ended up happening to their character designs along the way.
The girls also got names now. The blonde is Alvilda, and the other is Ragna.
---
Character designs for a comic project that I would like to get done before this year ends (yes, that's an actual deadline for a comic anthology).
The girls needs named. Suggestions are welcome.
The story is build on a Scandinavian fairytale about a troll princess and a human princess that were switched at birth, where neither girl is truly happy in the switched environment.
And yes, the tailed creatures are trolls. Danish trolls are often pretty human like. Both in appearance and behavior. The main different is, that creatures from the underworld represent raw and sinful non-christian urges in Danish folklore. They can still very much fall in love and have families they care about despite being non-human.
Anyway, there's really only two girls here. They're just both shown in both human and troll forms.
The girls have a mutual enchantment on them, so whenever one girl is in troll form, the other will be in human form.
The blond girl is the original human. Her troll form is covered with white fur, making her even paler as a troll. Think giant albino squirrel.
She's sweet and gentle, but knows what she wants and will act on it. Staying among trolls has taught her quite a bit of magic, which pretty much makes her a classic "kidnapped by monsters fairy-tale princess" (Seriously, some of these kidnapped princesses knows enough magic to defeat entire armies. Yet they need a male hero to "save" them, by delivering the final sword-strike to the monster, after they have thrown major lakes and suddenly emerging mountains at it).
The dark haired girl is the original troll. Her troll form is somewhat frog-inspired, so no fur on this one. She got curves, though. Also, she has learned quite a it of self-control as well as the art of "thinking things through before acting" by growing up in a very hostile "anti-underground" environment. Trolls don't really do much in back-stabbing but... Human nobility does.

I have always liked the names Dagmar, Agathe, Solveig (perfect for the blonde!), Gudrun, Edith, Leonora, Johanna... Oh and Viveka
